A Day of Civic Learning at Ponchatoula City Hall

Last Friday, March 28, 2025, Ponchatoula City Hall had the pleasure of hosting students from Ponchatoula Junior High. It was truly a joy to welcome these bright young minds and give them a firsthand look at how our local government operates. The students were attentive, curious, and eager to learn about the roles and responsibilities that keep our city running smoothly. From discussing daily operations to explaining how decisions are made to benefit our community, it was inspiring to see their genuine interest in the work we do.

As mayor, I firmly believe that fostering civic awareness among our youth is vital to the future of Ponchatoula. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me of the importance of engaging the next generation in local government. It’s my hope that visits like this will spark a lifelong commitment to community involvement and leadership. I am grateful to Ponchatoula Junior High for allowing us the opportunity to host such outstanding students, and I look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and contribute to our city in the years to come.
